Specialized elective
This year, for me, it has been quite irregular because I suffered a medical problem that prevented me from regularly attending all my classes. In spite of this, one of my classes that I liked most is a specialized elective class, on Alexander's technique, taught by Professor Nancy Vásquez. What teaches us to use our body consciously so that we can apply it to our instrument and have a better performance. In the classes, the teacher teaches us about the muscles and bones of the body, in addition to putting them into practice using our instruments to correct bad postures, along with this she taught us a resting position, in which we only rest and relax, This part is excellent because, although it is taught on Thursday mornings, these moments help to fill with energy during the rest of the day. I like this topic because it has helped me to become aware of my body and, therefore, I have been able to alleviate the pain and discomfort that prevented me from doing the job in an optimal and healthy way.
